At Sen Academy, we are maths education specialists. We use international best-practices
in maths teaching so that each of our students has the opportunity to learn at their own pace and improve, no matter what their starting point.

Course Outline
Our 2 week summer course in Newbridge develops understanding of core Leaving Cert maths topics. Designed for students who want to get a head-start on the Leaving Cert, all 5 strands of the Project Maths curriculum will be covered.
Using proven research-based teaching methods, learning through innovation, problem-solving and group-work is at our core.

What to Expect
Mornings - Master Class Workshops
Each day of the camp will begin with a Master Class on a core topic from the Leaving Cert Project Maths curriculum.
Our Master Classes blend tailored explanations on each Leaving Cert topic with hands-on practice in groups and individually. This helps students improve their understanding and polish their skills. Each student works at the level that suits them best, and learns at their own pace in order to reach their full potential.
Afternoons - Creative Project Challenge
Students also complete a Creative Project in small teams during the course in order to deepen their understanding of core Project Maths topics. This will also help them 'think outside the box' and gain confidence by combining their many other talents with maths.
The Creative Project allows students to develop 21st Century job skills like creative thinking, problem solving and communication.
Creative Project Exhibition
The course will culminate in a exhibition of each team's project on the last day, which families, friends, and some special guests will be invited to attend.

About the Application
At Sen Academy, we pride ourselves on our culture of good humour, respect for those around you, and hard work. New Sen Academy students remark on the relaxed and student-friendly environment. These conditions are very important for creating optimal learning.
Sen Academy has high expectations of our students' attitude and willingness to learn so we focus on that during the application process. Previous academic performance is not a factor for acceptance onto our course.

- Within 1 week of the application submission, you will be notified if your application has been successful.
- Successful applicants will be invited to an informal interview with Sen Academy facilitators. A deposit of €100 is due on the day of the interview to secure your space.
